Amy Rogers spent the first portion of her 20 years with Dr. Sawrie as clinical
supervisor before assuming her present dual roles as patient coordinator
and clinical technician. Her versatility in these areas greatly adds
to the overall strength of the orthodontic office. She and her husband,
Jack, have been married 29 years, are the parents of a college-aged
son and also are the initially reluctant owners of a cat called Ted.
Tammy Locklear is our financial coordinator and has worked with Dr. Sawrie
and his team for over 10 years. She is a vital contributor to the smoothness
of the daily operations within the office. At present, she is also very busy
with her husband, Chris, and their infant son but also finds times to participate
in Relay for Life, a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Tammy genuinely
looks forward to conversing with each patient on the phone, meeting them
as they come into the office and attempting to make their time with us a
pleasant and memorable experience.
April McClelland, our newest clinical technician and team member, now has two
years experience in Dr. Sawrie's office. A lifelong resident of Chattanooga,
April graduated from Central High School and attended Chattanooga State Community
College. She sees her employment here as a special homecoming, as she was
a patient of Dr. Sawrie's when she was 12 years old. April is a working mom
with a son and daughter, both elementary school age.
Lifelong Chattanooga Valley native Cathy Forrester is the clinical supervisor
and brings a delightful personal touch to the office, where she has worked
26 years. Cathy immensely enjoys getting to know the patient and watching
them progress through orthodontic treatment. To quote Cathy, "My goals
in our practice are to attempt to make our patients feel comfortable, to
let them know how special they are and to encourage them in positive self-esteem.
It is my desire that they have beautiful smiles inside and out when they
finish treatment." Cathy and David have a 30-year marriage, four children
and three grandchildren and stay very active in their small community church.

The senior staff clinician and office manager is Faye
Roach, a multi-talented
and visionary leader, well respected in the office and the community. In
her 31 years in the office, she has been a continually positive part of this
progressive, friendly and outstanding practice. She is equipped and pleased
to lead a staff that strives for professional excellence and building long-term
relationships with patients and their families. In addition to her management
role, Faye also contributes greatly to the practice by doing all the dental
lab work "in house." She and Amy Rogers enjoy the distinction of
being certified in the Specialty of Orthodontics by the Dental Assisting
National Board. Very near to Faye's heart is her association with the American
Cancer Society and Relay for Life, and she currently serves as a team captain
and is a member of the "Relay for Life" Planning Committee.
